چکیده
A novel liquid dye 2-((2E,5E)-2,5-bis(4-(methyl(2,5, 8,11-tetraoxatridecan-13-yl)amino)benzylidene)cyclopentylidene) malononitrile (TO-BDCM) was synthesized by incorporating two oligo(ethenyl glycol) groups into the backbone of a prototype malononitrile derivative (BDCM) for the purpose of increasing its solubility in organic solvents. The nonlinear absorption properties of this liquid dye on 1064 nm ns pulsed laser were investigated in DMF with remarkably high concentration up to ~1M, showing a superior large nonlinear absorption coefficient of 55.6 cm/GW. Fairly good optical limiting and stabilization effects were achieved. Meanwhile, the liquid dye exhibited equivalent stability under laser irradiation compared to its prototype dye BDCM.

In this paper, we report a light driven, non-invasive cell membrane perforation technique based on the localized field amplification by a nanosecond pulsed laser near gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). The optoporation phenomena is investigated with pulses generated by a Nd:YAG laser for two wavelengths that are either in the visible (532 nm) or near infrared (NIR) (1064 nm). Here, the main objective ...

We present results on laser-assisted formation of two- and three-dimensional structures comprised of gold nanoparticles in glass. The sample material was gold-ion-doped borosilicate glass prepared by conventional melt quenching. The nanoparticle growth technique consisted of two steps - laser-induced defect formation and annealing. The first step was realized by irradiating the glass by nanosec...
